東京芸術大学音楽学部附属音楽高等学校を経て、同大学卒業。同大学院入学後、アムステルダム音楽院に留学、修士課程修了。
ハーグ王立音楽院アーティストディプロマ課程、ブリュッセル音楽院ポストグラデュエート課程にて、古楽器フォルテピアノを学び優秀な成績で修了。
これまでに中川知保、有森博、播本枝未子、伊藤恵、小林仁、ヴィレム・ブロンズの各氏に師事。
フォルテピアノをバルト・ファン・オールト、ピート・クイケン、ボヤン・ヴォデニチャロフの各氏に師事。
全日本学生音楽コンクール大阪大会、小中高部門に於いて1位〜３位入賞。
日本クラシック音楽コンクール中学生の部、全国大会３位入賞(1位なし)。
第21回京都芸術祭「世界に翔く若き音楽家たち」聴衆賞。
ショパン国際ピアノコンクールin ASIA高校生部門ASIA大会金賞。
第80回日本音楽コンクールセミファイナリスト。
ヘールフィンク国際フォルテピアノコンクール(オランダ)第２位。
SFZPフォルテピアノ国際コンクール(ニューヨーク)、ファイナリスト。
ブルージュ国際フォルテピアノコンクール(ベルギー)セミファイナリスト。
〈ピアノレッスン歴〉
オランダ・ベルギー留学中より、現地の子どもたちへの英語でのレッスンをはじめ、駐在のお子さまや大人の方へのレッスンを行ってまいりました。
さまざまな文化や言葉を越えて、ピアノレッスンを通して心が通じ合う素晴らしさを、体感してきました。
帰国後は、演奏活動に力を入れながら、若い世代への音楽教育も積極的に行っています。
現在、個人レッスンをはじめ、三木楽器開成館ピアノ講師、小阪楽器ピアノ演奏講座講師として指導を行っております。
英語でのレッスンおよび、オンラインレッスンも柔軟に応じます。
Born in Osaka, Mao Omori started playing the piano at the age of 5.
After she graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, she studied with Prof. Willem Brons and completed her master’s degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2016.
She studied fortepiano with Prof. Bart van Oort at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, where she earned her Artist diploma as a scholarship student of Adriana Jacoba Fonds.
She moved to Belgium in order to further her fortepiano studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels under the direction of Prof. Piet Kuijken and Prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov.
She has participated in master classes such as Hamamastu, Kirishima, Kusatsu, and Pablo Casals de Prado international academy and festivals.
She has received numerous awards in national competitions in Japan, including the International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia (gold medal), and the Student Music Concours of Japan (1st prize in Osaka).
She was chosen as a semifinalist in the 80th Music Competition of Japan.
She gave her first recital at “Umeda Phoenix Hall” in Osaka.
She received a 2nd prize and the Romain d’Ansembourg Encouragement Award in the International Geelvink fortepiano competition (2016).
In addition, she was chosen as one of the 5 finalists of the Sfzp international fortepiano competition in New York as well as a finalist in the international competition Musica Antiqua Bruges (2019).
Since 2015, Mao has been teaching piano privately and working as a piano instructor in several music schools in Osaka.
